Dan Lovell of Law Offices of Dan J. Lovell, P.C.

Dan Lovell relocated to Las Vegas from Illinois. He has been practicing law since 2005. Dan received his undergraduate degree in Education from Illinois State University and his law degree from the University of Las Vegas, Boyd School of Law. Dan started a solo practice and focuses primarily in, family law, personal injury and complex civil litigation. Dan currently serves as the Vice-President of the Alumni Board-Law School Chapter.

Dan has been volunteering with the Pro Bono Project at Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada since 2011. He has accepted 11 new pro bono cases in a range of areas including domestic violence, divorce and custody. In addition to the cases he has accepted, Dan volunteers every month for our Family Law Ask-A-Lawyer program and has participated in our Partners In Pro Bono program in which lawyers and law students are matched up to work together on a pro bono case.

When we asked Dan why he does pro bono work, he responded that he likes to help people because not everyone can afford their own attorney. He mentioned that most people simply need to be pointed in the right direction. Dan says, he spends the vast majority of his time charging money for his time, so it makes him feel a little more balanced in his professional career when he spends time providing pro bono services to those in need.

For his commitment to representing family law clients, participating in the family law ask a lawyer program, and mentoring law students, we honor Dan Lovell as our November Pro Bono Attorney of the Month.
