Recently, a 13-year old girl has been removed from parental custody and placed under the custody of Clark County Family Services (CCFS) due to concerns of sexual abuse and apparent neglect. This young child had been the victim of sexual abuse perpetrated by the child’s father; consequently, CCFS investigated the family and the court issued a no-contact order. Despite this, the father had been breaching the order and is frequently within the child’s residence. At this time, this vulnerable young girl requires an attorney to represent her legal wishes and rights as to permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure appropriate services are in place. The next hearing is on March 12th, 2025 at 10:15 a.m. in Courtroom 11.
