A group of five siblings consisting of a 14-year old, 3-year old, a pair of 1-year old twins, and a 5-month old infant, were removed from their home and placed in custody of Clark County Family Services (CCFS) due to allegations of neglect and abuse. The mother’s rampant alcohol use put her children at extreme physical risk— the children’s mother, while inebriated, compelled her underaged daughter to operate a vehicle. This child subsequently crashed the vehicle into the neighbor’s property, triggering a response by CCFS. The children’s stepfather, who has several prior charges of sex crimes against children, has been given access to the residence by the children’s mother. This family has an extensive history with CCFS, having multiple children removed in the past. At this time, these siblings are in need of an attorney to represent their legal wishes and rights. The next hearing is on January 8th, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. in Courtroom 11.
