A one-month-old baby girl is currently in CCFS (Clark County Family Services) custody due to parental drug abuse and inadequate supervision on part of the mother.  The mother’s current incarcerated status renders her incapable of providing a sustainable environment suitable for her child’s safety. A history of drug abuse has resulted in the infant being substance-dependent upon delivery. Currently, this baby girl is in the NICU experiencing withdrawal symptoms and needs an attorney to represent her wishes and legal rights. The next hearing is to be determined and will take place in Courtroom 12.
