A 16-year old girl is currently in the custody of Clark County Family Services (CCFS) due to concerns of parental neglect and inadequate supervision. Several reports indicate that the mother of this child encourages participation in the distribution of drugs to underaged children in the community and has repeatedly withdrawn her children from school to engage in the selling of illicit substances. Along with concurrent drug abuse, the mother fails to provide proper supervision of her child, resulting in a non-guardian non-relative caretaker allegedly sexually abusing this young girl. This child requires an attorney to represent her legal rights as to permanency, placement, and visitation. The next hearing is scheduled for January 23rd, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. in Courtroom 12.
