Client’s signed a lease on 08/25/25 with an expected move-in date of 09/01/2025. The rental was being occupied by the property manager and his parents. The rental front and backyard were filled with the previous tenant’s belongings and the pool was filled with junk. Client’s were willing to take the property as-is, but wanted the rental on the inside to be clean. She was willing to let the property manager remove the junk at a later time. The client’s had given their notice to their current rental and prepared to move. When the time came to move, the property manager had not moved or cleaned the rental. The client went several times and the rental was not in condition to move-in. The rental was dirty, and some windows were broken. She never took possession of the unit. Client had to go month to month with a higher rent. She wanted to move for cheaper rent. The client requested a refund of her move-in deposit from the owner via text and is being ignored. She needs this money to find another rental. Client needs help acquiring a refund of the move-in deposit.
