This 60-minute CLE covers workplace stress related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Embracing diversity in the workplace is crucial for creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and respected. Equity means providing everyone with fair and equal access to resources, opportunities, and support they need to succeed, regardless of their background or circumstances. Inclusion reflects a workplace that acknowledges and embraces the differences in people. The key to creating a workplace that celebrates diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) starts with education about cultural competence. Improving competence improves communication, conflict management, and productivity. A lack of DEI leads increase stress for individuals and the workplace. Stress can be contagious and recognizing how that stress is passed between people can support earlier interventions. Education and accommodations benefit both the individual and the group as a whole. Organizational change can be an effective way to reduce compassion fatigue due to stress.
