Spanish-speaking client is seeking assistance filing for legal status under VAWA. Client originally sought an I-130 petition with her ex-husband as the Petitioner. After a domestic violence incident, to which the police responded, Client was granted a temporary protection order against her ex-husband. Client has evidence of the physical and verbal abuse she faced. Now, due to the domestic violence and petition for divorce, Client can no longer pursue the I-130 petition. Client requires assistance navigating the complex immigration proceedings for a VAWA matter.
