Case Number: 2024-001031

In Abuse/Neglect Cases - Children's Attorneys Project

A sibling group consisting of a 14-year old, 9-year old and 4-year old were removed from their home by Clark County Family Services (CCFS) due to inadequate supervision and parental drug use. The childrens’ parents have a history of criminal activity, including a recent SWAT investigation into the possession and distribution of methamphetamines from within the residence. Additionally, there were reports of hazardous items located within the home including drug paraphernalia, weapons, knives, and razor blades, within access of the children.  The sibling group was removed along with four other children, who currently have a separate case. These three children, however, need an attorney to represent their legal wishes and rights as to permanency, placement, visitation and to ensure appropriate services are in place. The next hearing is on January 29th, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in Courtroom 13.
